Every link counts in SEO

Posted by: admin In: Uncategorized

When building links for your website(s) you usually focus on getting attention from larger blogs get attract “linkjuice”. There are several methods for doing this, but something that most people forget is that every big blog started small at some point.

Lorelle points it out herself in one of her recent posts, Caring About the Little Links on Your Blog, that the small links can cater for quite a bit of your traffic. In fact she states that about 25% of her traffic comes from the combined effort of small-traffic blogs.

I would prefer a thousand “small links” in comparison for 10 “large links”. Right now this blog has about 2950 registered backlinks (by Yahoo), and that has been a large factor in my current ranking as 4th for search for “web 2.0 tutorials” as I wrote about in my previous post The best SEO trick! here on this blog.

When you start a new blog its important that you build links constantly, and even though you can focus on getting links from A-list bloggers, over time the best effect is to get links from everywhere you go, as this will help you in time to show Google that a lot of people loves you instead of only a few selected bloggers, who everyone wants some love from.
