By far one of the best web 2.0 applications I’ve encountered on the internet is todoist.com
Todoist.com is an simple to use, free task administrator, which focuses on simplicity and quality. The features are gradually added, but most are hidden from view, as the designers are very acutely aware that the average user is intermediate, and advanced users will try to find the function they are looking for, or sometimes even just read the FAQ or manual.
This elegant and effective web 2.0 application is an example of how a fantastic system can be achieved through effective design and brilliant code. I use the system regularly to keep track of my different projects.
Todoist states their simplicity quite well in their FAQ:
The Zen of Todoist
Now is better than later.
Later is better than never.
Organized is better than messy.
Huge equipment are composed by smaller equipment.
Smaller equipment are done by proceedings.
Reckon like a person of proceedings.
Act like a person of thought.
The beginning is half of every proceedings.
The longest journey starts with the first step.
Everything should be made as simple as possible.
But not simpler.
Celebrate any progress.
Don’t wait to get perfect.
Deadlines and stress are a part of life.
Give it a try and experience how a well organized life can bring happiness

Hi Mike. I have just written my own personal tutorial for Todoist. For me the goal is to keep it as quick and simple to use as possible.
You can check out the post here: http://lsdigitalmedia.co.uk/blog/2008/12/using-todoist-as-a-simple-task-management-tool/
Delight in!
